Age groups are based on USYSA/EPYSA ranges for birthdays between the following dates:

Welcome to Penn Legacy Futures Program

The Futures program represents the Club's youngest players who have a future playing within our Club.

Our belief is that "when we create the right environment we maximize the learning process.”


 

Future 3’s & 4’s Saturdays 8:30am – Children born in 2015 & 2014:

The program is designed to build confidence in age appropriate activities while concentrating on motor skill development and nurturing a love of the game. Player training will be led by Futures Technical Director Coach Rossi, and Brazilian Coach Brayan Jordao along with a Parent or Guardian who fully participates in the session along with the child.

Saturdays, Sept 23, 30 and Oct 7. 14, 21, 28 (Festival) 
Registrants will be assigned to groups by age and contacted via email Friday, September 8

Future 5’s Saturdays 10:00am – Children born in 2013:

The program is designed to build game awareness in an intrinsic environment where we maximize the learning process. Player training will be led by Futures Technical Director Coach Rossi, and Brazilian Coach Brayan Jordao along with the assistance of the Senior Phase Penn Legacy Soccer club teams/players.

Saturdays Sept 23, 30 and Oct 7. 14, 21, 28 (Festival) 
Registrants will be assigned to groups by age and contacted via email Friday, September 8

Future 6’s – Children born in 2012:

Players are grouped by gender and placed on teams. This age will play a 4 v 4 format. Teams will practice once per week with a game on Saturday. Teams will be coached by a parent volunteer coach. Future 6's Coaches choose training night: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Future 7’s – Children born in 2011:

Players are grouped by gender and placed on teams. This age will play a 4 v 4 format. Teams will practice once per week with a game on Saturday. Teams will train under the direction of the Futures Technical Director Coach Rossi, and Brazilian Coach Brayan Jordao along with the team's parent volunteer coach.

Practice Mon at 5:30pm to 6:45pm
Games Saturdays at 9:00am

Players are grouped by gender and placed on teams. This age will play a 6 v 6 format. Teams will practice once per week with a game on Saturday. Teams will train under the direction of the Futures Technical Director Coach Rossi, and Brazilian Coach Brayan Jordao along with the team's parent volunteer coach.

Future 8’s Boys
Practice Wed at 5:30pm to 6:45pm
Games Saturdays at 1:00pm

Future 8’s Girls
Practice Wed 6:15pm to 7:30pm
Games Saturdays at 11:30am

For the more advanced/serious/experienced 2010 born player Penn Legacy offers a pre-travel program known as PTP.
The PTP program is designed for players born in 2010 with "more experience." The program provides players the opportunity to become even better by training in a professional environment with professional coaches and alongside like-minded players.

Futures 6's, 7's and 8's - Additional Details

  • Program: One week-night team practice and games on Saturdays
  • Optional Training Sunday evenings 
  • Director will contact players with team information by Friday, August 18
  • Futures Week: 'Meet the Team' night is a fun evening to introduce coaches, and for parents and players to meet.
    • Monday, August 21: Future 7 Boys @ 5:30pm, Future 7 Girls @ 6:30pm 
    • Tuesday, August 22: Future 6 Boys @ 5:30pm, Future 6 Girls @ 6:30pm 
    • Wednesday, August 23: Future 8 Boys @ 5:30pm, Future 8 Girls @ 6:30pm
    • Team shirts will be distributed and all players should come prepared to play. 
    • Remember to bring a ball, shin guards, and a water bottle.

  • Regular team training/practices start week of August 28
  • Futures Festival for all age groups is Saturday, October 28
Mandatory Coaches Meeting:
  • Mandatory Future 6's Coaches meeting on Monday, August 14 @ 6;00pm at the Penn Legacy Office.  
Future 6 Mandatory Coaches Training Sessions at Junction Fields.
  • Sunday August 27, 5:00-6:00pm. This session will cover weeks 1, 2, 3 & 4 in the Coach Training Manual 
  • Sunday October 1, 5:00-6:00pm. This session will cover weeks 5, 6 & 7 in the Coach Training Manual

Futures Festival for All Age Groups 

Saturday October 28, 8:30am to 2:00pm

Future 7 & Future 8 Optional Training at 5:00pm at Junction Center Fields:

Sundays September 17, 24 October 1, 8, 15, 22

  • By continuing you agree that you have read all info above AND the linked required reading document.
  • Penn Legacy Futures soccer programs are directly funded by the club's All Kids Play Fund, which provides opportunities for kids of families in need of financial assistance to enjoy the game of soccer.
  • Pay what you can to support the program by selecting an amount when registering. There is no registration fee for those in need.
  • Penn Legacy/HSC is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, and your contribution may be tax-deductible. You will receive a receipt on your certificate of registration when submitting payment online.

There is no registration fee for those in NEED.

(Suggested donation for those NOT in need is $85-110/player - if possible, please consider a larger amount to assist families in need. Donations may be tax deductible)
