ABOUT THE FUTURES PROGRAM
Futures Program Philosophy and How Players Progress through the Program:
One of the main objectives of the Penn Legacy Futures is to ensure ALL Players, Parents and Coaches are being educated in a learning environment with an emphasis on nurturing a love of the game. Our belief is that "when we create the right environment we maximize the learning process.”
Future 3's - Children born in 2017. The child care provider fully participates in the session along with the child. The program is designed to build confidence in age appropriate activities concentrating on motor skill development, fun and nurturing a love of the game.
Future 4's - Children born in 2016. Coaches consist of the Senior Phase Penn Legacy Soccer club players. The program is designed to build confidence in age appropriate activities concentrating on motor skill development, fun and nurturing a love of the game.
Future 5's - Children born in 2015. Coaches consist of the Senior Phase Penn Legacy Soccer club players. The program is designed to build game awareness in an intrinsic environment where we maximize the learning process.
Future 6's - Children born in 2014. Players are grouped by gender. This age will play a 4 v 4 format. Teams will practice once per week from Monday through Thursday. Games are on Saturday afternoons. Teams will practice under the guidance of a volunteer parent coach.
Future 7's - Children born in 2013. Players are grouped by gender. This age will play a 4 v 4 format. Teams will practice once per week on Monday evenings. Games are on Saturday mornings. Teams will practice with the volunteer parent coach and under the guidance of Futures Technical Director Coach Rossi.
Future 8's - Children born in 2012. Players are grouped by gender. This age will play a 6 v 6 format. Teams will practice once per week on Wednesday evenings. Games are on Saturday afternoons. Teams will practice with the volunteer parent coach and under the guidance of Futures Technical Director Coach Rossi.
Pre Travel Program - Children born in 2012 & 2013. Players will practice twice per week. Girls on Monday and Wednesday evenings, Boys on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Practices will be conducted by Futures Technical Director Coach Rossi and Penn Legacy Football Club’s selected Coaches. Games will take place on Sunday afternoons.
